Background and Experience:
Prior to law school, Monique worked as a private investigator where she obtained invaluable skills to bring to her career as an attorney. Monique started her law career as an insurance defense attorney and then went on to become a Deputy City Prosecutor where she handled multiple criminal trials to verdict. Monique’s desire to seek justice and victim advocacy is what drives her to fight hard for her clients.
Education and Admissions:
Monique completed her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice at California State University, Long Beach. Monique attended Whittier Law School where she was a member of their prestigious Law Review. Monique graduated as the Valedictorian of Whittier Law School in 2018. Monique is a member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA).
Community Involvement:
Monique likes to focus on the younger generation as she sees them as our future. She is an active student mentor at Cabrillo High School’s Law and Justice program in Downtown Long Beach. Monique is also a mock trial mentor at Millikan High School’s law pathway. Monique is also a board member of the Long Beach Bar Association’s scholarship committee where they give up to $40,000 worth of scholarships to local deserving students.
Personal Life:
Monique is born-and-raised in Southern California. Her favorite activities include going to the beach with her husband and two teenage children.
