Attorney Profile
JASON L. OLIVER
Omega Law Group Senior AttorneySenior Employment Attorney
Jason L. Oliver has spent nearly three decades representing employees in sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation (FEHA and whistleblower), and wrongful termination cases throughout California, beginning in 1998 — long before the “me too” movement came to notoriety. An attorney since 1996, he came to this work with an earlier background in personal injury, products liability, sex abuse, and medical malpractice cases. In 2003, he opened his own practice in Pasadena, where his work narrowed almost exclusively to the plaintiff side of employment law. In 2022, Mr. Oliver became Of Counsel to McNicholas & McNicholas, LLP, mentoring newer attorneys and handling high-profile employment matters, including cases by first responders (police officers and fire personnel) against the City of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Police Department, Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department and numerous other law enforcement agencies.
Over his years of practice, Mr. Oliver has been part of dozens of trial and arbitration teams in employment cases and has handled writs and appeals in the California Courts of Appeal and the California Supreme Court. He was a member of the litigation, trial, and appellate team in Glick/Garcia v. City of Los Angeles (2026), which following an appeal, resulted in the Court of Appeal reinstating a jury verdict of $13.1 million in favor of their clients. Mr. Oliver also was a member of the appellate team in Gober v. Ralphs Grocery Co. (2006) 137 Cal.App.4th 2004, in which the Court of Appeal addressed the constitutional limits on punitive damages in sexual harassment cases, and he handled the successful appeal in Marcisz v. Movie Theatre Entertainment Group, Inc., where the Court of Appeal reinstated the jury’s compensatory damages award.
