Collision in Carson Causes Death and Critical InjuriesA few minutes before 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 4, 2018, a Toyota Prius being used as a Lyft and a Nissan 350Z (both carrying 2 passengers each) collided at the intersection between University Drive and Central Avenue in Carson, CA. The driver of the 350Z did not sustain any injuries, but the passenger of the 350Z and both occupants of the Prius were sent to the hospital for serious injuries.The man driving the Prius, who was transporting one female occupant at the time of the accident, was doing so as part of a ridesharing service Lyft. His passenger, a 30-year-old woman from Torrance, CA, died in the hospital the following Monday.The woman’s identity is still unknown, as are many details surrounding the circumstances of the accident.
